Groups for New Moms
For mothers and their babies ages 0-9 months.

Becoming a mother is a rich, exhausting, and sometimes lonely experience that we come to usually without experience and with very high expectations of ourselves to "get it right". The best recipe for success is to not try to do it alone, but to build a community of other mothers around us who can become a vital source of information, support, and friendship as we transition into parenthood. Having a destination, out of the house, where you can get some nurturing for yourself and your baby, can be a very useful tool in the early weeks and months with a new baby.

Drop-in New Mom's Group

Thursdays, 1:00-2:30 pm.
Pre-registration is NOT required.
$15 per session, $10 for Families First members
Facilitated by Maura Sheehy, LCSW

The Drop-In Mother's Group is a place to meet other mothers (and babies) and share feelings, experiences, and concerns while getting support in the transition to motherhood. Each week a specific topic will be explored, but there will always be time made to address individual needs and questions. View our schedule of topics.

New Mom's Support Group

Mondays, 1:00-2:30 pm.
Eight to Ten 90-minute sessions.
Pre-registration IS  required. Call our office for more information.
Facilitated by Amie Block, LCSW

In her 14th year at Families First, Amie Block, LCSW, helps mothers build bridges to new relationships while discussing the issues common to most new parents.
